Core gameplay
- Standard overs contain six legal balls. Wides and no-balls do not use one.
- Both teams agree the innings length and wicket limit before the match.
- The side with the higher valid total wins, unless the agreed playing conditions require another outcome.
Fair play & team selection
- Use stable rosters so recorded statistics remain attached to the same players.
- Agree replacements, bowling limits and player rotation before scoring.
- Record the toss and the winning captain’s decision.
Spirit of the game
- Respect the umpire, opponents and spectators.
- Use calm corrections when an entry is wrong and review the score with both sides.
- Keep young players’ information and photographs appropriate for public sharing.
Umpiring & dismissals
- Record the actual dismissal method and the correct batter.
- Illegal deliveries and free hits restrict which dismissals are valid.
- Use Advanced delivery when runs, extras and a wicket happen together.
Field-specific rules
- A venue may use agreed boundary awards or local restrictions. Record them as explicit house rules.
- Changing wide or no-ball penalties or balls per over requires the House rules setting.
- A revised target is entered by an umpire; this app does not calculate official DLS.
